Being Mortal Series
While medical science almost triumphs over death, we as mere mortals must grapple with how we will deal with quality of life issues in trying circumstances. No one wants to end up in a nursing home or die in a hospital but what are we doing to prevent either of these events? This series will explore these questions. It begins with a book discussion of Dr. Atul Gawande’s best-selling and ground-breaking book, Being Mortal, and will continue with future discussions with professionals to help us understand some of the many choices we, or those we love, may have to face in our lifetime.
Copies of the book are available at the library and the discussion/series will be led by Betty Tidd and all are invited to attend.
