ABOUT THE FRIENDS
OUR MISSION
The Friends of the Gilford Public Library, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to raise funds for the purposes of supporting the programs, sevices, and special needs of the Library. Additionally, they serve as an advocate of the Library and support the mission of the Board of Library Trustees.
When We Meet
The Friends meet the fourth Wednesday of every month at 6:30 PM at the Library.
What We Do
What We Do
Bookworm Shop

Open Monday - Saturday. Come browse our extensive selection of gently used books (adult and children), movies, and puzzles for only 50 cents - $1.00! The Bookworm Shop is located on the lower level, next to the Children's Room.
The Store is closed the month of September for restocking.
Book Sales
We accept donations of hardcover, paperback fiction and nonfictions books; books on tape/CD; videos and DVDs. All items should be in good, saleable condition. Please bring your books to the front desk and call ahead if you are dropping off large quantities, as space can be an issue.
Old Home Day is our largest book sale. We also hold four open houses throughout the year with books and gifts available to purchase. These are held both in the Bookworm Shop and in the Exhibition Area on the main floor.
We also have a relationship with Amazon for the higher value books.
Museum Passes
The Friends sponser the passes offered at the Library for various museums and attractions throughout New Hampshire. See View Library Hours/Services on Library's main page for a complete listing of passes available. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
Summer Reading Program
The Friends have sponsored the Children's Summer Reading program for many years. Since moving into the new Library we now also offer Teen and Adult programs. Sponsorships are available if you wish to support this growing, successful program.
Other
Subscriptions and special purchases are also paid for by the Friends, as well as sponsorship for special programs.
