MUSEUM PASSES AND OTHER ATTRACTIONS Thanks to a very generous sponsorship by Friends of the Gilford Public Library, the library has once again been able to purchase a number of free passes to area museums, art galleries and other attractions. They are available on a first come/first serve basis, and a deposit is required.

Squam Lakes Natural Science Center www.nhnature.org Library passes are valid for TWO FREE trail admissions, plus up to four additional discounted trail admission for $7 each, every day from May 1 to November 1. Please note that Library Membership passes are not appropriate for use by schools or other organized groups. McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center www.starhop.com The Discovery Center has an amazing collection of innovative, interactive exhibits to explore. Delve in to the worlds of astronomy, aviation, Earth and space sciences and become immersed in this entertaining learning environment.
Canterbury Shaker Village www.shakers.org Take a step back in time and experience 200 years of the Shaker way of life. Visit our National Historic Landmark with 25 original buildings situated on a rolling hilltop surrounded by open fields, woodlots, and ponds. Take a guided tour, watch crafts being made, enjoy gardens, ponds, remains of old mills. Restaurant on site, and a museum store offering Shaker reproduction furniture, an extensive collection of Shaker books and tapes and NH handcrafts.
Currier Gallery of Art www.currier.org The Currier Gallery of Art is an internationally renowned art museum featuring European and American paintings, decorative arts and sculptures...all in a classic setting. The Zimmerman House, included in the Currier's permanent collection, allows you to experience Frank Lloyd Wright in New Hampshire. Built for Isadore and Lucille Zimmerman in 1950, the Zimmerman House is the only Frank Lloyd Wright designed residence in New England open to the public. For those wishing to explore their artistic sides, the Currier Art Center offers studio art classes and workshops for children and adults.
Libby Museum The Libby Museum was established in 1912 and is on the registry of national historic places. It is a museum of natural history featuring an Abenaki Native American collection and a Governor Wentworth collection.
Wright Museum www.wrightmuseum.org Travel back in time to 1939 - 1945 America! The Wright Museum showcases the enterprising spirit of America as everyone ralled to the call to arms during World War II. This historically accurate collection of memorabilia, vehicles, films, and artifacts demonstrates the efforts that the American people brought to this crisis. Situated on a six-acre site on the Smith River in Wolfeboro NH, the museum provides ample parking for cars and buses.
