INTERNET ACCESS AT THE LIBRARY

Gilford Public Library has 9 computers that can be used for free access to the internet without a library card. Use is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up for one at the circulation desk.

The Library also has free access to a wireless network.  Stop at the circulation desk to pick up a password.  


Exhibition Area
The photographs in our Exhibition Area were taken by Mary Villaume upon her return to Liberia after many years. These photos reflect both the hope and despair in that west African country.

The visit from the folks at the  Squam Lakes Science Center was a huge success. They brought with them a red tail hawk (shown above),  a beaver and a SKUNK!

Adult Book Discussion: Thursday 12/4/08 11:30 AM-12:30 PM. Our book discussion for December is a trip down memory lane. Talk about your favorite cookbook and share your favorite recipe. You don't need to provide the cooked recipe, but if you'd like to make something to share that will add to the fun. We will all leave with some yummy new recipes to try!

Pizza Tasting Party Thursday 12/4/08 6-7:30 PM. We'll meet in the new Meeting Room to sample the best pizza the region has to offer. Sign up required in the Teen Room at the Library.

Annual Gingerbread House Decorating Party Tuesday 12/16/08 3:30-5:30 PM. Sign up today for our annual Gingerbread House Decorating Party! All you need to bring is your holiday spirit and your imagination. Houses will be pre-made and candy will be provided. All ages welcome.

The watercolor class in September was such a success that local artist Mary Lou John has been invited to join us on a monthly basis to teach all interested artists. Here we see the class, with brushes in hand, following Mary Lou's instruction . Call the Library for details!
